Your next career opportunity
As a Technical Consultant – Microsoft End User Computing, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality customer service and second-level technical support for devices and Microsoft systems across the University. Working both independently and collaboratively, you’ll resolve issues efficiently, provide expert consultation, and contribute to the continual improvement of digital services for staff, researchers, and students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Technical Support and Consultation: Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft endpoints, offer expert advice, and support research teams and clinics with specialised technical needs
- Enhance User Experience: Deliver positive customer experiences, gather feedback, and contribute to improving services and knowledge bases
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various faculties, vendors, and support staff to ensure seamless IT operations and support
- Stay Current with Technology: Keep up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies and contribute to the implementation of new solutions

You are a customer-focused IT professional with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality technical support in a dynamic university environment.
You may also:
- Have a relevant formal qualification in IT or equivalent experience.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and various software applications.
- Have experience with device hardware including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Hold industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Professional.
