Join the Faculty of Science as an Academic Programs Coordinator and play a central role in delivering high-impact teaching and learning initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, Curriculum and Teaching Support, you will collaborate with academic leaders, school colleagues, and central services to support and deliver projects that advance the Faculty’s education strategy.

This dynamic role will see you coordinate programs, projects, and governance processes with a focus on innovation in curriculum and teaching practice. You will also contribute to the ongoing administration of Academic Programs and Teaching Support functions, ensuring smooth and effective delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide executive support for Committees and support for the efficient administration of academic programs including course and subject change processes and student handbook coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with academic leadership, colleagues and central services to coordinate a broad range of administrative services that support effective delivery of the Faculty’s programs.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of University policy and procedures to ensure that information and advice provided through the Faculty of Science is current and accurate.
  • Adopt a client management approach, provide accurate advice to academic staff, Associate Deans, Program and course coordinators, about all matters related to student enrolment and teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the Faculty’s teaching and learning practices through championing successful technology solutions and identifying opportunities to enhance the Faculty’s capabilities and usage of technology.
  • Work collaboratively across the wider Faculty Student and Academic Services team to support the student experience through integrated programs design.

You also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, and experience within a student advising or administrative role, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and/or training.
  • High level interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation and the capacity to initiate and build strong working relationships with academic and professional staff from across the University.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously but also as a member of a team, working closely with stakeholders and building relationships with various departments across the University.
  • Highly developed organisational and planning skills, including project / program planning, project management, communications planning, evaluation and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice on established policies and procedures including sound problem solving skills to resolve complex and unique issues.
