Your next career opportunity
As the UKG Timecard Lead at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a crucial role in managing and optimising our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. You'll oversee end-to-end timecard processing, provide expert support to users, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and system efficiency. This role offers you the opportunity to drive innovation in HR technology while contributing to the seamless operation of a world-class institution.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage End-to-End Timecard Processing: Oversee payroll sign-off, exception reporting, and compliance follow-ups, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Provide Expert System Support: Offer comprehensive assistance to users, manage issues, and liaise with Enterprise Technology teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Drive Compliance and Best Practices: Partner with Business Process Owners and the Employment Compliance Directorate to maintain audit standards and regulatory compliance
  • Lead System Optimisation: Collaborate with Enterprise Technology teams to maintain and improve UKG functionality, including pay rules, reporting, and user access

You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced HR professional with a strong background in payroll systems, particularly UKG, and have the ability to lead teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive process improvements in a complex university environment.

You may also:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a relevant discipline
  • Have extensive experience in Time & Attendance and Payroll system administration, particularly with UKG
  • Possess a strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements and Fair Work compliance requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
