Your next career opportunity
As Team Leader, Graduate Research, you'll steer the direction of graduate research services within the Faculty of Science. Leading a team of four, you’ll drive service excellence and shape the future of graduate research programs. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing operational efficiency, improving service delivery, and fostering engagement with graduate researchers and staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Service Delivery: Oversee graduate research selection, enquiry management, and candidature management, establishing service standards and developing frameworks.
  • Team Management and Development: Provide day-to-day supervision and strategic leadership to your team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Design and implement service models to enhance delivery standards, driving operational efficiency and service excellence across the faculty.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with academic leaders, professional staff, and external partners to ensure a whole-of-faculty service delivery approach.

You may be a great fit if:

  • You have extensive experience in service delivery, possessing strong leadership skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a complex stakeholder environment.

You may also:

  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification with significant experience in service delivery or equivalent.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with experience in writing for senior leadership teams.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to implement new procedures and initiatives.
  • Have high-level stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence optimal outcomes.
  • Show strong data literacy and analytical capabilities for data-driven decision making.
  • Have experience in graduate research administration or the higher education sector (desirable).
  • Be flexible in your approach to working hours, able to adapt to peak periods and deadlines.
