As the Manager - Engineering & Infrastructure, you will lead the Engineering and Infrastructure team within Campus Management, ensuring the effective stewardship of the University’s diverse and complex property portfolio. You will play a crucial role in providing expert engineering advice and technical direction, ensuring infrastructure assets meet current operational needs while preparing for future challenges.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Facilities Management, this role is responsible for managing a $30M budget, leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team, and overseeing critical infrastructure services across all University campuses.
Your responsibilities will include:

Infrastructure Stewardship: Provide oversight of the University’s infrastructure assets, ensuring they meet operational, compliance, and sustainability goals.

Engineering Leadership: Offer technical direction across all engineering disciplines, influencing strategic planning and capital works programs.

Compliance & Standards: Maintain and update the engineering services section of the University Design Standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices.

Asset Performance Optimisation: Monitor and enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of critical infrastructure services, including electrical, water systems, and civil assets.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including faculties, consultants, and project teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.

You are an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in multi-disciplinary engineering and infrastructure management.
You should have:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or equivalent) and extensive experience managing building services and infrastructure.

Expertise in engineering design standards, BCA/NCC, and technical regulations across multiple disciplines.

Proven leadership experience, including team development and stakeholder engagement across large-scale infrastructure projects.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage supplier/contractor relationships.

Proficiency in asset management systems, data collection, and reporting to drive informed decision-making.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
