Your next career opportunity
As a Senior Research Development Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the competitiveness of our researchers for national funding schemes such as NHMRC, ARC, and MRFF. You'll have the opportunity to design and deliver impactful workshops, coordinate academic reviews, and provide strategic advice on funding opportunities. Working within a collaborative team culture, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of research programs and elevate your profile in the field of research management.

Your responsibilities will include:

Research Development: Coordinate faculty-wide research development activities. Provide strategic advice on alignment with NHMRC and ARC funding policies. Support the promotion and tracking of engagement in research development activities.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including early career academics, faculty researchers, and colleagues across the university to ensure streamlined processes and coordinated approach to supporting researchers.

Administrative and Project Management: Coordinate cash co-contribution requests for external funding proposals. Provide secretariat support for faculty-initiatives and committees

You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and diplomatic professional with experience in research management or grant application support, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced academic environment.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary degree with relevant experience in research management or grant application support.
  • Possess broad knowledge of the national funding landscape, particularly ARC, NHMRC, and MRFF schemes.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excel in building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Have excellent administrative and organisational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Your new team – Research Support & Evaluation
Research Support & Evaluation is the Faculty level facilitator to deliver functions that provide quality services to support world class health research and researchers. Under the direction of the Director, Research Support & Evaluation, the team works closely with Faculty executive, and Faculty and University colleagues, focusing on: development and implementation of Faculty/University research and innovation strategy; governance of research; research capability; research collaboration and initiatives; research funding - growth and diversification; research/researcher development and support schemes; research quality; research reporting; effective and timely research support services and system access to the Faculty; and research translation and impact.
