Your next career opportunity
As the Student Events Administration Officer, you'll play a vital role in orchestrating large-scale, high-impact events for the University of Melbourne. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to examinations and graduations, impacting thousands of students' academic journeys. Your role will involve managing student enquiries, supporting event operations, and driving process improvements, all while working collaboratively across various university departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver Exceptional Student Services: Respond to staff and student enquiries, contribute to service improvements, and maintain high standards of customer care.
  • Support Event Operations: Assist in the execution of graduation ceremonies, examination rounds, and other critical student events.
  • Manage Administrative Processes: Contribute to financial administration, data management, and monthly conferral activities for graduating students.
  • Enhance Team Performance: Participate in workforce management, training, and documentation of procedures to support team efficiency.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for creating positive student experiences in a fast-paced, collaborative higher education environment.

You may also:

  • Have undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience in event management or administration.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data management.
  • Have experience working in a tertiary education environment (highly desirable).
