As the Program Development Officer for Research Data Management, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing the University's research data management strategy. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative solutions, ensuring compliance and protecting valuable research assets. This role offers you the opportunity to shape the future of research data management, working with world-class researchers and contributing to groundbreaking discoveries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Strategic Solutions: Engage with stakeholders to understand challenges and develop policies, procedures, and frameworks for effective research data management.
  • Driving Technological Advancements: Contribute to the prototyping, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge technology and service-based solutions.
  • Enhancing Research Capabilities: Deliver training sessions and support researchers in improving their data management skills, fostering a culture of best practices.
  • Facilitating Collaboration: Build strong relationships across the university, coordinating with various teams to ensure coherent and effective research data management services.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and collaborative professional with a strong background in research or research administration, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate complex organisational structures while driving strategic initiatives.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary research degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Have experience in, or the capacity to quickly grasp, emerging issues and technologies in research data management.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
