As the Campaign Lead (Art Museums) at the University of Melbourne, you will play a pivotal role in connecting audiences with prestigious institutions like Buxton Contemporary and the Potter Museum of Art. You will craft audience-led marketing campaigns, develop compelling content, and drive strategic communications to enhance the University's cultural impact. This role offers you the chance to shape Melbourne's art scene while working in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop Engaging Campaigns: Create and deliver audience-led marketing initiatives for exhibitions, programs, and venues.
- Craft Compelling Content: Produce written and visual materials for various platforms, including social media, email, and web.
- Coordinate Strategic Communications: Manage media outreach, publicity campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support Event Management: Assist with launches, exhibition openings, and stakeholder events, including invitation management.

You are a creative and strategic thinker with experience in cultural marketing or communications, possessing excellent writing skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences through compelling content and campaigns.
You may also:
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification or experience in cultural, public engagement, or marketing environments.
- Possess proven experience in coordinating audience-led marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrate expertise in creating and distributing content across various digital platforms.
- Excel in written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Have strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Show a talent for building collaborative relationships and managing multiple stakeholders effectively.

Your new team – Museums and Collection
The Museums and Collection Department aims to build a collaborative and flexible network around the University’s cultural assets to enable students, staff members local and global communities to gain knowledge and understanding of contemporary and traditional cultures, scientific discovery and creative practice.
