Your next career opportunity
As a Student Programs Officer at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), you'll play a crucial role in cultivating a sense of belonging within our student community. You'll have the opportunity to coordinate and implement enrichment initiatives spanning the entire student journey, from orientation to career transition. Working closely with faculty members and university stakeholders, you'll contribute to creating a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances students' academic and personal development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implement Student Enrichment Initiatives: Support the delivery of tailored programs focusing on student belonging, industry engagement, and professional development.
  • Coordinate Student Activities: Assist in organising orientation programs, peer-to-peer mentoring, and well-being initiatives to foster student connections.
  • Collaborate with Student Clubs: Build strong relationships with FEIT student organisations, providing administrative support and leadership development opportunities.
  • Analyse Program Effectiveness: Collect and evaluate data on student experiences to drive continuous improvement in program delivery.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a proactive and organised professional with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to enhance the student experience in a dynamic university environment.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role within a tertiary environment.
  • Possess strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
  • Have high-level computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Show initiative and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Be adaptable and willing to work outside of business hours occasionally.
