Your next career opportunity
As the Government Reporting Officer at the University of Melbourne, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Australian Federal Government. You'll have the opportunity to work with complex datasets, collaborate across various university departments, and drive improvements in data management and reporting processes. Your role will directly impact the university's compliance and inform strategic decision-making, making this a key position for those passionate about data analysis and higher education administration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Government Reporting: Prepare and submit curriculum and enrolment-related reports to the Australian Federal Government, ensuring compliance with TCSI requirements.
  • Analyse Complex Data: Collect, analyse, and report on data from various sources, identifying issues and recommending solutions.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams across Student and Scholarly Services to resolve data issues and enhance reporting processes.
  • Support System Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of solutions, systems, and tools to improve data management and reporting capabilities.

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, experience in data management, and a passion for driving improvements through data-informed decision-making in a higher education setting.

You may also:

  • Have undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, and digital tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Show experience working with large, complex datasets and data mining from various sources.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and robust quality assurance practices.
