The Professional Experience Officer plays a vital role in the administration of student placements across a diverse range of educational settings. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to navigate complex logistical processes to ensure the smooth coordination of placements. Engaging with students, academic colleagues, and external partners, the role balances multiple priorities while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of placement systems and processes. With a strong focus on service excellence, the Professional Experience Officer supports the delivery of high-quality professional experience opportunities, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for all stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the end-to-end administration of student placements, collaborating with academic colleagues, external partners, and fellow team members to ensure seamless delivery.
- Managing placement systems and online platforms, maintaining accurate records, refining processes, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and student experience.
- Liaising with students, academic staff, and partner organisations to provide clear guidance, address enquiries, and resolve placement-related issues, escalating complex matters as required.
- Contributing to policy and process development by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, representing the team in committees and working groups, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

You may also:
- Hold a relevant degree with experience in placement operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
- Have a proven ability to manage logistical challenges, such as large-scale scheduling, resource allocation, or time-sensitive workflows.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience improving processes, leveraging online systems, and using data to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrate high-level computer proficiency, including expertise in managing digital platforms, processing data, and enhancing operational efficiency through technology.
