As a Senior Learning Leader within the Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) Initiative, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery and ongoing enhancement of an evidence-based training program designed to strengthen mental health and wellbeing support in primary schools. This multifaceted position involves both leadership and hands-on engagement, as you guide a cohort of Learning Leaders and provide direct support to Mental Health and Wellbeing Leaders across a diverse range of schools. Working closely with the Delivery Lead and broader leadership team, you will contribute to shaping the program’s strategic development, identifying opportunities to refine training content, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery. With a focus on building strong professional relationships, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, and driving excellence in mental health education, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in both the Victorian and national educational landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the Learning Leader team by coordinating professional development, facilitating Learning Leader community of practice sessions, and offering guidance in the planning and delivery of training content.
- Delivering and facilitating core training modules and learning community sessions, both in-person and online, for Mental Health and Wellbeing Leaders, while providing tailored support to their schools and assisting in the implementation of professional learning initiatives.
- Overseeing and contributing to administrative functions such as tracking training attendance and engagement, managing learning platforms, responding to queries, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborating and liaising with internal and external partners, including government and research bodies, while contributing to evaluation activities, representing the initiative at professional forums, and supporting continuous improvement of program outcomes.

You will also:
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in education, psychology, social work, allied health, or a related discipline, along with substantial experience supporting mental health and wellbeing in primary school settings.
- Have demonstrated experience leading or coaching multi-disciplinary teams, with the ability to support professional development and coordinate training delivery.
- Possess facilitation skills with proven experience designing and delivering training both in-person and online, including the use of digital learning platforms such as Canvas.
- Exhibit well-developed administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to manage data accurately, track progress, and produce reports aligned with project requirements.
