About the Role
The Emergency and Business Resilience Coordinator supports University-wide emergency management, critical incident management, and business continuity initiatives. This role ensures effective preparedness, response, and recovery during incidents, requiring strong administrative skills, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities while providing high-level support to senior staff and partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and triage enquiries across Emergency, Critical Incident, and Business Continuity Management, escalating as needed.
  • Coordinate events and training, ensuring efficient organisation and setup for workshops and exercises.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor compliance, and manage key meetings across portfolios.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Who we are looking for
You will demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, taking ownership of your work and striving to exceed expectations. You will have experience supporting and implementing emergency management or business continuity strategies, working collaboratively within a team, and influencing stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will be highly organised with strong written and interpersonal communication skills, adept at managing complex enquiries and building positive relationships.

You will also have:

  • A relevant qualification with experience or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and education/training.
  • High proficiency in using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply your skills in a professional setting effectively.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
