About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, this new role provides leadership to a dedicated team within Alumni Relations, focused on the successful implementation of initiatives and programs to engage the University’s alumni meaningfully.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively lead and manage a team to produce quality engagement outcomes, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on service delivery.
- Oversee the implementation of engagement programs that align with University and/or faculty strategic objectives, ensuring they meet specified outcomes.
- Manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of initiatives within set budgets and timelines, ensuring projects deliver excellent return on investment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across faculty cluster teams and wider Advancement to support effective alumni engagement strategies.
Who we are looking for
Someone who will bring substantial experience in delivering complex programs and possess strong planning, creative problem-solving, and effective communication skills, which will be applied in this role to ensure quality alumni engagement outcomes.
You will also have:
- A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant extensive experience and education/training.
- Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, and the ability to inspire and motivate staff while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong program and project management skills, with a track record of effective prioritisation and resource management to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Proven ability in budget management and planning processes with excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
- Experience in establishing and optimising processes and ways of working that demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining positive working relationships with senior stakeholders.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
