About the Role Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Associate Director, Alumni Programming provides strategic and operational leadership to a team focused on creating large-scale alumni engagement opportunities. This role requires proven experience in team leadership, fostering a high-performance culture, and collaboration in complex environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support the Director of Alumni Relations in shaping and executing a strategy that addresses alumni interests while advancing the University’s priorities.
Lead the team with a focus on fostering collaboration, innovation, and a high-performance culture to achieve engagement goals.
Manage and enhance alumni volunteering programs, offering meaningful opportunities for alumni to connect with the University and each other.
Lead the delivery of a University-wide alumni engagement program, delivering initiatives on time and within budget, optimised to deliver return on investment.
Who we are looking for We’re looking for someone who demonstrate significant experience leading teams and managing integrated programs in a large, complex organisation, using creativity and strategic thinking to navigate challenges and deliver positive outcomes.
You will also have:
A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant extensive experience and education/training.
Extensive experience managing teams and leading integrated programs within a large and complex organisation, navigating complexity and ambiguity to effect positive outcomes creatively and strategically.
Demonstrated ability in providing effective leadership and direction to staff inside and outside direct line management, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Proven ability in budget management and planning processes with excellent conceptual and analytical skills.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
