About the Role
The Change Implementation Officer will support University employees and stakeholders in navigating changes to the University's operating environment, ensuring they respond proactively and positively. Reporting to the Change & Communications Lead, this role will involve working across various change projects, collaborating with senior leaders and teams to drive material benefits for stakeholders. The officer will also build strong relationships across Faculties and Portfolios, gathering feedback to continually improve change programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering change programs across various formats, including drafting and updating staff communications, web pages, guidance, and training materials, while building collaborative relationships to enhance change acceptance.
  • Supporting Instructional Designers to ensure training and change materials meet University standards and are relevant to stakeholder needs.
  • Assisting HR Policy and Workforce Instruction efforts by maintaining policy-related systems, preparing reports, conducting research, and coordinating with stakeholders to keep policies aligned with industry trends.
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to ensure change programs are relevant and effectively support the University’s operational needs.

Who we are looking for

You will have excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, able to translate complex concepts into practical examples, alongside strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills to foster connections across diverse backgrounds. You’ll work confidently both independently and as an integral team player, ensuring collaborative success.

You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, law, business/communications, or a related field, or significant experience in a similar role.
  • A solid working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, ideally from experience in a university setting, within an HR or faculty role.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex change programmes.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
