About the Role
This role will see you as a specialist in automation testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure that new or updated products and services meet defined requirements and agreed quality standards. Be hands on in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automation testing frameworks, standards, and practices for the Digital Products portfolio and Business Services IT.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, overseeing, and enhancing testing assets, artefacts, and methodologies for automation, including frameworks and automated tests for web applications and back-end functionality. 
  • Produce test deliverables and execute automation testing. 
  • Establish and implement optimal strategies for Unit, Integration, and UI automation testing within a CI/CD environment, prioritising high-value, risk-based testing and rapid feedback throughout the pipeline. 
  • Design and implement reusable automated tests for execution in a CI/CD pipeline. 
  • Assist in the adoption and execution of API testing methods. 


Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a proactive problem solver who can engage with stakeholders, provide status updates, address risks, issues, and dependencies through appropriate channels. It also requires close collaboration with the TQA Lead - Digital Products and other internal and external stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training in Testing. 
  • Extensive experience and expertise in developing and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts using Selenium with Python and C#, alongside the Microsoft technology stack (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Coded UI, Microsoft Visual Studio). 
  • Demonstrated experience in test automation techniques for API (Postman), service layer, client, and Windows-based applications, as well as mass/bulk execution methods using tools like Selenium Grid and Test Agents Pool. 
  • Exposure to Testing Integration in DevOps pipeline CI/CD preferably using Bamboo/GitHub. 
  • Experience in automation testing with Salesforce.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
