About the Role
Play a crucial part in shaping the academic experience within the Faculty of Business and Economics. This dynamic role is integral to maintaining the high standards and seamless operation of the faculty’s academic offerings – particularly the doctoral programs. You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely execution of academic processes essential to the faculty's degree programs. Providing comprehensive admissions services for both Honours and Doctoral programs, and playing a pivotal role in student scholarships and course/subject enrolments. The role also involves supporting students and academics – and contributing to an array of engagement activities and events for our doctoral students. Your impact will directly enhance the academic journey of our students and the faculty’s success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely information and advice in response to queries and supporting the efficient and client-focused delivery of admission services.
  • Processing, assessing, and issuing course and scholarship offers, ensuring completion within agreed timelines and in accordance with established criteria.
  • Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with key divisional stakeholders and staff, while working closely with colleagues across the University to promote best practices, support continuous improvement, and drive innovation.

Who We Are Looking For
You are a self-motivated and proactive individual, capable taking ownership of your work and independently managing tasks, whilst at the same time working well within a team environment and with others. You have a proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment with substantial activity. You confidently resolve day-to-day issues and make sound decisions, escalating more complex matters when needed. Your strong interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships within the faculty and the wider university community.

You also have:

  • A degree or diploma with relevant subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven ability to maintain high levels of focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment with substantial activity.
  • Demonstrated commitment and experience in delivering exceptional client service to achieve successful outcomes.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
