About the Role
Join our team as Associate Director, Employment Compliance Monitoring & Assurance! You will be at the forefront of ensuring our University's compliance with employment obligations. Lead a team, manage wage inquiries, and drive continuous improvement across the University. Ready to make a real impact?

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership: Support the Executive Director, Employment Compliance to establish and embed the Employment Compliance Directorate as a key enabler of employment related compliance across the University
  • Oversight of wage remediation:  Oversee process for new wage enquiries and claims, including the effective triage of cases and determination of high-level requirements for assessment to ensure effective prioritisation and management of resources
  • Employment compliance management: Work with the Casual Compliance Managers to ensure consistent employment compliance management practices across the University

Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled compliance individual with proven experience working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels within a large, complex organisation. You will have strong experience in leading a team towards positive change and fostering a culture of compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, are essential in this role for building effective relationships and achieving desired outcomes across the University.

You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant discipline, and demonstrated relevant professional experience, or equivalent significant experience in lieu of qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with compliance advice and support
  • Experience with employment legislation and employment related university regulation

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
