As required by clause 1.15.9 of the 2024 EA, current casual or fixed-term employees of the University will be provided with 7 days of prior opportunity to apply for and be considered for vacant continuing positions if they meet the following criteria: 

  • they have been employed by the University over two or more semesters and over two consecutive calendar years, 
  • they have been employed on a 0.5 FTE or more time fraction, and

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic advice on procurement improvements, revenue generation, and ESG initiatives.
  • Manage sourcing, contracts, and supplier relationships to ensure best value for the University.
  • Lead the development of category management plans and analyse data to optimize commercial outcomes.


Who we are looking for
We seek a leader with stellar communication and negotiation skills to secure best-value solutions. They will be an analytical thinker with strong data skills, influencing stakeholders for optimal outcomes. They will manage projects with ownership and keep stakeholders engaged. We are seeking a whiz in data, tenders, and planning, with a team player's spirit.

You will also have:

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
  • Extensive experience working in strategic procurement environments, and project related space.
  • Thorough understanding of Contracts relating to Service/Projects across a variety of categories (software, hardware, professional services). Technology related experience is required.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
