PROJECT COORDINATOR

Salary: UOM 7 – $106,432 – $115,211 p.a. (pro rata if part-time) plus 17% super

About the Role 
The Project Coordinator at the Doherty Institute facilitates research collaborations and manages grants to support pandemic therapeutics research, ensuring efficient administration and fostering teamwork among research teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating project coordination by engaging investigators involved in multi-institutional research programs to ensure timely reporting and achievement of key milestones and research objectives post-award

  • Working directly with project leads, investigators and governance committees as required to oversee implementation of activities to meet project objectives

  • Supporting the management of the CGCPT Grant programs through meetings, planning and coordination, finance and budgeting and reporting

Who we are looking for 
The ideal candidate for this role is a highly organised professional with extensive experience in research administration, adept at fostering collaboration among international research teams, and skilled in managing complex grant processes and research support services.

You will also have: 

  • A degree with at least 5 year’s subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
