About the Role
Join our rapidly growing Advancement team in a leadership role as Director, Advancement Operations! Oversee two key teams - Customer Success and Prospect Research & Management - driving efficiency, strategic planning, and alumni and donor engagement. You'll leverage your strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and analytical skills to provide expertise and guidance, fostering collaboration across Advancement and beyond.

We’ve got big plans for our Operations team; this high-impact role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of innovation and a passion for professional development. Join us and make a real difference in the fundraising space.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage Advancement Customer Success and Prospect Research & Management teams, optimising performance, staff well-being, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the integrated operating plan with Communications & Marketing, including strategy, development, implementation, and process improvement.
  • Lead the advancement technology portfolio, collaborating with partners to ensure system development and maintenance (Salesforce, Affinaquest, etc.).
  • Analyse, recommend, and implement new technology and process solutions to enhance Advancement programs and reporting.

Who we are looking for
We seek a strategic problem-solver with exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong relationships, navigate complexity, and lead effectively. This individual must excel in both written and verbal communication, delivering data-driven solutions and fostering a collaborative environment.

You will also have:

  • A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience in a similar position; or an equivalent combination of relevant extensive experience and education/training.
  • Extensive experience in providing leadership and direction to staff, with proven experience in managing a medium sized multi-disciplinary team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead change and build cohesive teams dedicated to exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability in budget management and comprehensive planning processes with excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Strong digital literacy, a sound understanding of CRM and companion systems, and experience in managing business solution innovation projects.
